**Effective Date: October 6, 2026**
**Last Updated: October 7, 2026**
AR Pages is operated by **Sixty8 Inc.** (“Sixty8,” “AR Pages,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
AR Pages is a platform designed to connect printed and digital materials with augmented-reality (“AR”) experiences and related community, publishing, creation, and interactive services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use AR Pages websites, services, features, applications, AR experiences, communications, and related services.
This Policy also explains our approach to children, students, schools, educational organizations, and child-directed or school-authorized AR experiences.
Our goal is to design AR Pages so privacy protections are part of the platform itself, particularly where children and students may interact with augmented-reality content.
---
# 1\. About This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to AR Pages services operated by Sixty8 Inc., including AR Pages websites and AR experiences that link to or reference this Policy.
It applies to information collected through activities such as:
- visiting AR Pages;
- viewing public content;
- accessing augmented-reality experiences;
- creating or using an AR Pages account;
- uploading or sharing content;
- participating in communities or discussions;
- communicating through AR Pages;
- interacting with organizations, creators, or campaigns;
- using future educational or institution-authorized AR Pages services; and
- contacting AR Pages for support.
Some AR Pages features described in this Policy may not yet be available.
Where this Policy discusses planned educational, institutional, advertising, analytics, or student-account functionality, those provisions describe the privacy standards AR Pages intends to apply if and when those features are introduced.
We will not represent a planned feature as currently operating when it has not yet been implemented.
---
# 2\. Who Operates AR Pages
AR Pages is operated by:
**Sixty8 Inc.**
Privacy and support inquiries may be sent to:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
References in this Policy to “AR Pages,” “we,” “our,” or “us” include Sixty8 Inc. when it acts as the operator of AR Pages.
---
# 3\. Scope of This Policy
This Policy covers information processed by AR Pages in connection with the AR Pages platform.
It does not automatically apply to websites, applications, services, products, or content operated independently by third parties.
AR experiences may contain links to third-party websites or services. Those third parties may have their own privacy practices and policies.
We encourage users, parents, schools, and organizations to review the privacy practices of third parties before providing information to them.
---
# 4\. Information You Provide to Us
Depending on the features you use, you may provide information such as:
- name;
- username;
- email address;
- profile information;
- account credentials;
- profile image;
- organization or business information;
- contact information;
- messages;
- comments;
- posts;
- responses to polls;
- files;
- photographs;
- videos;
- audio;
- AR assets;
- project information;
- support requests; and
- other content you choose to submit.
The information collected depends on the feature being used.
We seek to avoid collecting information that is unnecessary for providing the requested service.
---
# 5\. Account Information
Some AR Pages functionality may require an account.
Account information may include:
- display name;
- username;
- email address;
- password or authentication information;
- profile settings;
- account preferences;
- account status;
- organization memberships;
- content associated with the account; and
- security and authentication records.
## Age for ordinary accounts
Unless AR Pages expressly provides a separate school-authorized, parent-authorized, or legally compliant child account system, users must be **at least 13 years old** to create an ordinary self-service AR Pages account.
Children under 13 should not create a standard AR Pages account.
Children may, however, be able to access certain AR experiences without creating an account, including appropriate public or educational experiences.
Future school-authorized student services may use different access and consent procedures as described later in this Policy.
---
# 6\. User Content and Communications
AR Pages may allow users to create, upload, publish, transmit, or share content.
This may include:
- posts;
- comments;
- messages;
- media;
- project materials;
- AR scenes or experiences;
- images;
- videos;
- documents;
- links; and
- other user-generated material.
Information you deliberately publish to a public area of AR Pages may be visible to other people.
Users should not publish confidential personal information about themselves or others unless they have a lawful and appropriate reason to do so.
Additional safeguards may apply to future student or institution-managed environments.
---
# 7\. AR, Camera, Image, and Sensor Features
Augmented reality often requires access to device capabilities that traditional websites may not use.
Depending on the AR experience, AR Pages may request permission to access features such as:
- a device camera;
- motion or orientation sensors;
- image recognition;
- AR marker recognition;
- uploaded images;
- microphone access where audio features require it; or
- location information where a specific AR experience requires location.
## Camera access does not automatically mean camera recording
AR Pages may need access to a device camera to recognize a marker, analyze a scene, position virtual content, or display an augmented-reality experience.
Providing camera access does **not by itself mean that AR Pages permanently records or stores everything visible through the camera**.
Where camera images, video, or other sensor information must be transmitted or retained for a particular feature, we will seek to provide appropriate notice and limit the information to what is reasonably necessary for that feature.
## Sensitive AR information
We intend to exercise particular caution regarding:
- images of children;
- continuous camera footage;
- facial information;
- biometric identifiers;
- precise location;
- voice recordings;
- school-related information; and
- information capable of identifying a child or student.
We do not intend to collect or retain such information merely because a device is being used to display an AR experience.
---
# 8\. Device, Log, and Technical Information
When you access AR Pages, certain technical information may be generated automatically.
This may include:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- operating system;
- device type;
- referring page;
- requested page;
- timestamps;
- error information;
- session information;
- security events;
- approximate geographic information inferred from an IP address;
- application or browser capabilities; and
- interaction information necessary to operate, secure, or improve the service.
We may use this information for purposes such as:
- delivering the service;
- protecting accounts;
- preventing abuse;
- diagnosing errors;
- maintaining performance;
- understanding aggregate platform usage; and
- improving AR experiences.
We do not intend to use ordinary technical data collected through school-authorized student activity to build commercial behavioral profiles of students.
---
# 9\. Cookies and Similar Technologies
AR Pages may use cookies and similar technologies where necessary to operate the service.
These technologies may be used for purposes such as:
- maintaining sessions;
- keeping users signed in;
- storing preferences;
- protecting against abuse;
- supporting security features;
- measuring service performance; and
- understanding how AR Pages is used.
We may provide additional cookie controls or notices if the platform introduces categories of cookies or tracking technologies that require additional consent or disclosure.
School-authorized and child-directed services may use more restrictive tracking practices.
---
# 10\. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide AR Pages;
- create and maintain accounts;
- display requested AR experiences;
- operate social and community features;
- enable communication;
- process uploads and user content;
- provide customer support;
- administer organizations or projects;
- maintain service security;
- detect fraud, spam, malware, and abuse;
- investigate violations of our rules;
- comply with legal obligations;
- maintain system integrity;
- analyze aggregate platform performance;
- improve our services;
- develop new features;
- communicate service information;
- respond to requests; and
- protect AR Pages, our users, and others.
We will seek to use personal information in ways reasonably related to the purpose for which it was collected.
Information collected from child-directed or school-authorized educational use will not be repurposed for behavioral advertising merely because AR Pages also provides commercial services elsewhere on the platform.
---
# 11\. How We Share Information
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to operate AR Pages.
This may include disclosures:
- to service providers acting on our behalf;
- at a user's direction;
- to organizations administering an authorized account or environment;
- where content has been intentionally made public;
- where required by law;
- in response to lawful legal process;
- to protect users or others from serious harm;
- to investigate security incidents or unlawful activity;
- to enforce our Terms or policies; or
- as part of a lawful corporate transaction, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
We do not grant third parties unrestricted rights to use personal information merely because they provide services to AR Pages.
Where appropriate, providers are expected to process information for authorized purposes and protect it appropriately.
---
# 12\. Service Providers
AR Pages relies on technology and service providers to operate portions of the platform.
Providers may support functions such as:
- web hosting;
- infrastructure;
- storage;
- email delivery;
- security;
- network services;
- software services;
- analytics;
- media processing; or
- technical support.
A service provider may receive information needed to perform the service it provides to AR Pages.
We seek to limit such disclosures to appropriate purposes and will apply additional safeguards where information involves children, students, schools, or other sensitive contexts.
---
# 13\. Organizations, Businesses, Creators, and Advertisers
AR Pages may allow organizations, businesses, publishers, creators, advertisers, print providers, schools, nonprofits, and other entities to publish or sponsor AR experiences.
An organization may receive information that users intentionally submit directly to that organization.
AR Pages may also provide organizations with aggregate information about their experiences, such as:
- number of scans;
- number of interactions;
- aggregate engagement;
- completion rates;
- generalized device information; or
- campaign-level performance.
The information available to organizations may differ depending on the audience and type of AR experience.
Student and child-directed experiences are subject to more restrictive rules.
---
# 14\. Advertising and Analytics
AR Pages may in the future support commercial AR campaigns and advertising-related services.
Our approach distinguishes between general commercial experiences and child-directed or school-authorized educational experiences.
## General audience experiences
Subject to applicable law and future AR Pages controls, general-audience campaigns may use measurement and analytics appropriate for ordinary commercial services.
## Student and educational experiences
AR Pages does not intend to use personal information collected through school-authorized educational activity to create behavioral advertising profiles of students.
We do not intend to use school-derived student information to target advertisements to a student based on that student's prior behavior.
We do not sell or rent student personal information.
Where businesses, publishers, or sponsors support educational AR materials, reporting should ordinarily be limited to privacy-protective or aggregate metrics unless another disclosure is specifically authorized and lawful.
For example, an advertiser may be able to learn that an AR campaign received a certain number of scans or interactions without receiving the identities of individual students who participated.
---
# 15\. Children's Privacy
AR Pages may contain AR experiences that are appropriate for children.
We distinguish between:
- allowing a child to view an AR experience; and
- creating a persistent AR Pages account or profile for that child.
Whenever reasonably possible, we intend to allow children to consume appropriate educational or public AR experiences without requiring them to create a personal account.
## Children under 13
Children under 13 may not create an ordinary self-service AR Pages account unless AR Pages has implemented a separate process that complies with applicable parental, school, and legal requirements.
If AR Pages has actual knowledge that it has collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring parental consent and appropriate consent was not obtained, we may delete the information, restrict the account, request appropriate authorization, or take other steps required by law.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has improperly provided personal information may contact:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
---
# 16\. Anonymous Child-Directed AR Experiences
A core AR Pages design principle is that an account should not be required merely because a person wants to view an appropriate AR experience.
For example, a child may eventually encounter an AR-enabled:
- worksheet;
- textbook;
- poster;
- museum exhibit;
- library resource;
- school publication;
- educational display; or
- community resource.
Where the experience does not require persistent identity, AR Pages may allow the experience to operate without requiring the child to create an AR Pages account.
We seek to minimize information collected in those circumstances.
Anonymous does not necessarily mean that absolutely no technical information is processed. Internet services generally require limited technical information such as network requests, security logs, or session data to function.
However, we will seek to avoid turning anonymous educational viewing into a persistent advertising profile of a child.
---
# 17\. Student and Educational Use
AR Pages intends to support schools, educational institutions, libraries, museums, youth organizations, publishers, and similar organizations.
Educational functionality may be introduced incrementally and may not currently be available.
When AR Pages processes information specifically for an educational institution, our goal is to collect and use that information only as reasonably necessary to provide the authorized educational service and meet applicable legal and contractual obligations.
Depending on the service and institution, student information may include:
- account or access identifiers;
- assignment information;
- classroom or group membership;
- projects;
- submitted content;
- progress information;
- interaction information; or
- other information needed to provide the educational service.
We intend to minimize such collection.
School-authorized student information will not be treated as a general commercial advertising database.
---
# 18\. School-Authorized Services
Future AR Pages institution services may allow a school, district, teacher, library, museum, youth organization, or other authorized organization to administer access.
Where applicable, the institution may be responsible for determining whether it has authority to provide information to AR Pages or authorize student access.
AR Pages may enter into additional agreements with educational institutions governing:
- permitted uses of student information;
- security;
- data retention;
- deletion;
- institutional controls;
- access rights;
- parental rights;
- legal compliance;
- data return;
- data portability; and
- termination of services.
Where educational records protected by applicable education privacy laws are provided to AR Pages, additional contractual and technical restrictions may apply.
AR Pages does not assume that a school relationship by itself eliminates privacy obligations.
Where parental consent, school authorization, notice, or another legal basis is required, the appropriate process must be established before the applicable information is collected or used.
---
# 19\. Parent, Guardian, and School Rights
Depending on applicable law and the way an educational service is configured, parents, guardians, or schools may have rights relating to a child's or student's personal information.
These may include the ability to request:
- access;
- correction;
- deletion;
- restriction;
- information about collection or use;
- withdrawal of consent where consent applies; or
- termination of an account or educational relationship.
AR Pages may need to verify the identity and authority of a person making such a request.
For institution-managed information, some requests may need to be handled through the school or other organization responsible for the educational relationship.
Questions concerning child or student information may be sent to:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
---
# 20\. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:
- providing the requested service;
- maintaining an account;
- completing a project;
- supporting an institution;
- meeting contractual requirements;
- maintaining appropriate security records;
- resolving disputes;
- complying with law; or
- enforcing agreements.
Different categories of information may have different retention periods.
We intend to apply stricter retention principles to information collected from children and students.
Information collected from children should not be retained indefinitely merely because storage is technically available.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, we may delete it, anonymize it, aggregate it, or otherwise dispose of it as appropriate and lawful.
Future educational services may include specific retention schedules established through school or organization agreements.
---
# 21\. Account and Data Deletion
Users may contact AR Pages regarding account or personal-information deletion.
Requests may be sent to:
[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])
Before acting on a request, we may need to verify identity or authority.
For an ordinary AR Pages account, requesting deletion disables account access and queues the account for deletion processing. During that process, AR Pages anonymizes personal profile information associated with the account.
A soft-deleted account remains in the active AR Pages database for at least 30 days. After that retention period, remaining account records and associated contributions are queued for permanent deletion through the AR Pages account-deletion process.
Deletion from the active service and expiration from backups are separate processes. AR Pages currently retains local backups for approximately 30 days. Information contained in a backup created before an account was deleted may therefore remain in that backup until the backup reaches the end of its retention period and expires.
Deletion may not always be immediate or absolute where information must be retained for:
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- legal compliance;
- litigation;
- legitimate recordkeeping;
- enforcement of agreements; or
- other lawful purposes.
Information previously shared publicly or with other users may also remain in locations outside our control.
For school-managed services, deletion requests may be coordinated with the applicable educational institution. Student or child information may also be subject to separate contractual, parental, school-authorized, or legal deletion requirements.
---
# 22\. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Measures may include:
- access controls;
- account authentication;
- restricted server permissions;
- encrypted network communications;
- service isolation;
- security monitoring;
- protected credentials;
- controlled file storage; and
- other safeguards appropriate to the service.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
Users should protect account credentials and notify us if they believe an account or information has been compromised.
We intend to apply appropriate security safeguards to student and child information and to require appropriate protections from service providers that process such information on our behalf.
---
# 23\. State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have privacy rights under applicable law.
Depending on the law and circumstances, these rights may include requests to:
- confirm whether personal data is being processed;
- access personal data;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete certain personal data;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- opt out of certain uses of personal data; or
- appeal certain privacy decisions.
Not every law applies to every person, organization, or type of information.
AR Pages will evaluate requests under the laws applicable to the requesting individual and our processing activities.
Privacy requests may be sent to:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify a request.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising applicable privacy rights.
---
# 24\. International Users
AR Pages is operated from the United States.
If you access AR Pages from another country, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or in other jurisdictions used by our service providers.
Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction.
As AR Pages expands internationally, additional notices, contractual terms, data-transfer mechanisms, or privacy controls may be introduced where required.
---
# 25\. Law Enforcement and Legal Requests
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process.
We may also preserve or disclose information where permitted by law and reasonably necessary to:
- protect a person from serious harm;
- investigate fraud or abuse;
- protect AR Pages or its users;
- defend legal rights; or
- respond to security incidents.
We do not provide government entities unrestricted access to AR Pages user information merely because they request it informally.
---
# 26\. Business Transfers
If AR Pages or Sixty8 Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
Any successor receiving protected student or child information remains subject to applicable legal obligations governing that information.
Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided.
---
# 27\. Third-Party Links and Experiences
AR Pages experiences may include links or actions that direct users to third-party websites, applications, products, or services.
AR Pages does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.
Users should review the privacy policies of those services before providing personal information.
AR Pages may implement controls such as approved-link systems for certain organizations or experiences, but the presence of a link does not make the destination part of AR Pages.
Parents, schools, and organizations should consider whether third-party destinations are appropriate for children or students before including them in educational AR experiences.
---
# 28\. Changes to This Privacy Policy
AR Pages will evolve.
We may update this Privacy Policy when:
- platform functionality changes;
- new AR features are introduced;
- educational functionality is launched;
- advertising or analytics practices change;
- laws or regulations change;
- security practices change; or
- clarification is appropriate.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective or revision date and provide additional notice where required.
If a change materially affects information previously collected from children or students, we will evaluate whether additional consent, school authorization, contractual changes, or other measures are required before applying the new practice.
---
# 29\. Our Privacy Principles for Children and Education
AR Pages intends to develop educational AR around the following principles:
**Access without unnecessary identity.**
Where possible, children should be able to view appropriate educational AR experiences without creating personal accounts.
**Data minimization.**
We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide the requested experience.
**Separation from advertising profiles.**
Student information obtained through school-authorized educational activity will not be used to create unrelated commercial behavioral profiles.
**No sale or rental of student information.**
AR Pages does not sell or rent student personal information.
**Privacy-protective analytics.**
Businesses and sponsors associated with educational experiences should ordinarily receive aggregate campaign information rather than identifiable student activity.
**Limited retention.**
Information involving children or students should not be retained indefinitely without a legitimate purpose.
**Institutional control.**
Where a school or authorized educational institution administers a service, AR Pages intends to provide appropriate controls over institution-managed information.
**Privacy by architecture.**
We intend to enforce important privacy boundaries through software design and technical controls rather than relying exclusively on written policies.
