# AR Pages Children & Student Privacy Notice
**Effective Date: October 6, 2026**
**Last Updated: October 6, 2026**
AR Pages is operated by **Sixty8 Inc.**
This Children & Student Privacy Notice explains how AR Pages approaches privacy when children, students, parents, guardians, schools, teachers, and educational organizations use or interact with AR Pages.
This Notice supplements the **AR Pages Privacy Policy**.
Our goal is simple:
> **Children should be able to experience appropriate augmented reality without unnecessarily becoming part of an advertising or tracking system.**
AR Pages is being designed so privacy protections for children and students are built into the platform, not added only as written policies.
---
# 1\. Children Can Experience AR Without Needing an Account
Many AR Pages experiences are intended to connect printed or digital materials with augmented-reality content.
Examples may include:
- worksheets;
- textbooks;
- educational posters;
- school publications;
- museum exhibits;
- library materials;
- community resources;
- educational displays;
- event materials; and
- other AR-enabled printed materials.
Whenever reasonably possible, a child should be able to view an appropriate AR experience **without creating a personal AR Pages account**.
For example, a student may scan a marker in a workbook and view an interactive 3D lesson without needing to create a social profile.
An account may become necessary only when a feature genuinely requires identity or persistence, such as saving work, submitting an assignment, creating content, communicating with others, or tracking individual progress.
---
# 2\. Ordinary AR Pages Accounts Are Not Intended for Children Under 13
Children under 13 should not create an ordinary self-service AR Pages account.
Our standard account system is intended for users who are at least **13 years old**, unless AR Pages provides a separate child, parent-authorized, or school-authorized account system that has appropriate privacy and consent protections.
A child under 13 does not need an ordinary AR Pages account merely to view an AR experience that AR Pages makes available without registration.
If we learn that personal information was collected from a child under 13 in circumstances where appropriate authorization was required but not obtained, we may delete the information, restrict access, seek appropriate authorization, or take other steps required by law.
Parents and guardians may contact us at:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
---
# 3\. School-Authorized Educational Use
AR Pages intends to support educational institutions and organizations, including:
- schools;
- school districts;
- teachers;
- libraries;
- museums;
- youth organizations;
- nonprofits; and
- educational publishers.
Some educational services described in this Notice are planned features and may not yet be available.
When a school or other authorized educational institution uses AR Pages to provide an educational service, AR Pages intends to use student information only as appropriate for that educational purpose and as permitted by applicable law and agreements with the institution.
School authorization does not give AR Pages unrestricted rights to use student information.
In particular, information collected under a school-authorized educational relationship will not simply become part of AR Pages' general commercial advertising data.
---
# 4\. What Student Information Could Be Collected
The information required for educational use depends on the particular AR experience or service.
Many experiences may require little or no identifiable student information.
Where an educational feature requires persistent student information, it could include information such as:
- an assigned student or access identifier;
- name, where actually necessary;
- class or group membership;
- school or organization affiliation;
- assignments;
- submitted projects;
- educational content created by the student;
- progress or completion information;
- interactions with educational content;
- teacher feedback; or
- other information necessary to provide the authorized educational service.
We intend to collect **only what is reasonably necessary for the feature being provided**.
We do not want schools to provide sensitive student information simply because AR Pages is capable of storing information.
---
# 5\. Camera and AR Privacy
AR experiences commonly require access to a device camera.
A child or student may use the camera to:
- recognize an AR marker;
- recognize an image;
- position digital content;
- view a 3D object;
- interact with augmented content; or
- otherwise operate an AR experience.
**Allowing camera access does not automatically mean AR Pages records or permanently stores what the camera sees.**
Where possible, AR Pages intends to process AR camera information only for the immediate operation of the experience.
We intend to exercise particular caution before collecting or retaining:
- photographs of children;
- video containing children;
- continuous camera footage;
- facial information;
- biometric identifiers;
- voice recordings;
- precise location information; or
- other sensitive information about a child.
If a particular educational feature requires this kind of information, additional notice, controls, authorization, or consent may be required before that feature is used.
---
# 6\. Student Information Is Not an Advertising Profile
AR Pages may support businesses, advertisers, publishers, print companies, sponsors, and commercial AR campaigns.
Educational information is different.
We do **not** intend to use personal information collected through school-authorized student activity to create unrelated commercial behavioral profiles of students.
We do not intend to target advertisements to a student based on that student's school activity.
We do not sell or rent student personal information.
Information collected for an educational purpose should remain connected to that educational purpose.
---
# 7\. What Sponsors or Advertisers May See
Businesses or organizations may sponsor or create AR-enabled educational materials.
That does not mean they should receive the identity or activity history of individual students.
For educational and child-directed experiences, AR Pages intends to favor privacy-protective measurements such as:
- total scans;
- total sessions;
- interaction counts;
- completion rates;
- generalized engagement;
- campaign performance; and
- other aggregate measurements.
For example, a sponsor might learn that an educational AR experience was viewed 2,000 times.
The sponsor should not automatically receive a list identifying which children viewed it, what individual students did afterward, or information that could be used to create an advertising profile for those students.
---
# 8\. No Sale or Rental of Student Personal Information
AR Pages does not sell or rent student personal information.
Student information collected through school-authorized educational services will not be treated as a commodity or general-purpose marketing database.
If AR Pages works with technology providers that need limited access to student information to operate an educational service, those providers should receive only information appropriate to their role and should be subject to appropriate privacy and security obligations.
---
# 9\. Parents and Guardians
Parents and guardians may have rights regarding personal information collected from or about their children.
Depending on the service and applicable law, these may include rights to:
- learn what information is being collected;
- review certain information;
- request corrections;
- request deletion;
- withdraw consent where consent is the applicable legal basis;
- ask how information is being used;
- ask whether information has been shared; and
- raise concerns about a child's privacy.
For services provided through a school, certain requests may need to be made through the school because the school administers the educational relationship.
Parents and guardians can also contact AR Pages directly at:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
We may need to verify that a person making a request is actually the child's parent, guardian, or otherwise authorized representative.
---
# 10\. Schools and Educational Organizations
Schools and organizations using future AR Pages educational services should provide only information appropriate for the service they have authorized.
Depending on the service, AR Pages and an institution may enter into an additional agreement describing:
- what student information is collected;
- why it is collected;
- who may access it;
- how it may be used;
- security requirements;
- data retention;
- deletion;
- parent rights;
- school administrative rights;
- service-provider restrictions; and
- what happens to information when the institution stops using AR Pages.
Schools should not assume that using technology automatically satisfies their privacy obligations.
Similarly, AR Pages will not assume that a school's involvement eliminates AR Pages' own responsibilities.
---
# 11\. Student Content
Future educational features may allow students to create or submit:
- images;
- projects;
- assignments;
- 3D or AR content;
- recordings;
- written material;
- interactive experiences; or
- other educational work.
Student-created educational content should not automatically become public.
Where institution-managed creation features are introduced, AR Pages intends to provide controls that may allow schools or authorized educators to determine appropriate visibility.
Possible visibility levels may include:
- student only;
- teacher and student;
- class;
- institution;
- specifically authorized users; or
- public, where appropriate and properly authorized.
We intend to be especially cautious about making content created by younger students publicly discoverable.
---
# 12\. Communication and Social Features
AR Pages includes or may include social and communication functionality.
Children and students require additional consideration when those features are involved.
School-authorized educational environments may therefore have more restrictive communication rules than ordinary AR Pages accounts.
Future protections may include:
- disabling public messaging;
- limiting who may contact students;
- institution-controlled communication;
- teacher moderation;
- restricted comments;
- reporting tools;
- blocking controls;
- content moderation; and
- separation between student and general public accounts.
The availability and configuration of these controls will depend on the educational service being offered.
---
# 13\. Child Safety
AR Pages does not permit its services to be used to exploit, groom, sexually abuse, threaten, harass, or endanger children.
Content or conduct involving child sexual exploitation or abuse may be removed, accounts may be restricted or terminated, and matters may be reported where required or appropriate under applicable law.
Future Community Guidelines will contain additional rules governing appropriate behavior toward children and students.
Parents, educators, or users who encounter concerning behavior may contact:
**[
[email protected]](mailto:
[email protected])**
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services or law-enforcement authority.
---
# 14\. Location Information
Some future AR experiences could use location information.
We intend to avoid collecting a child's precise location unless the particular feature genuinely requires it and the collection is appropriately authorized.
Whenever approximate information is sufficient, we prefer using less precise information.
School or child-directed experiences should not collect precise location simply because the device makes that information available.
---
# 15\. Data Retention and Deletion
Children's and students' personal information should not be stored indefinitely without a legitimate reason.
We intend to retain student information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide the authorized educational service;
- fulfill the purpose for which the information was collected;
- satisfy legitimate school requirements;
- maintain necessary security records;
- comply with applicable law; or
- meet other lawful obligations.
Where appropriate, information may then be:
- deleted;
- de-identified;
- anonymized; or
- aggregated.
Future school agreements may establish specific retention and deletion requirements.
Where applicable, AR Pages will also respond to appropriate deletion requests from authorized schools, parents, guardians, or students.
---
# 16\. Security
AR Pages uses technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information.
Student and child information warrants particular care.
Security measures may include:
- controlled access;
- account authentication;
- restricted permissions;
- encrypted network connections;
- protected credentials;
- infrastructure controls;
- service isolation;
- logging and monitoring; and
- security protections appropriate to the information involved.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but protecting student and child information is an important part of the AR Pages architecture.
---
# 17\. Privacy by Architecture
AR Pages intends to protect children and students through technology as well as policy.
Our design principles include:
**Anonymous viewing where practical**
A child should not need to create a persistent identity merely to view an appropriate AR experience.
**Data minimization**
If an experience does not need personal information, we should not require it.
**Separation of education and advertising**
Information gathered through school-authorized educational activity should not become behavioral advertising data.
**Aggregate educational analytics**
Organizations should generally receive campaign-level information rather than identifiable student behavior.
**Limited retention**
Children's information should not be retained simply because storage is inexpensive or technically possible.
**Institutional controls**
Schools should have meaningful control over information processed on their behalf.
**Restricted visibility**
Student-created content should not automatically become public.
**Purpose limitation**
Information collected for education should remain tied to the educational purpose for which it was provided.
---
# 18\. Changes to Our Educational Services
AR Pages' educational functionality is still developing.
Future features may include:
- school and institution accounts;
- educator accounts;
- classes;
- student access;
- assignments;
- educational AR projects;
- augmented worksheets;
- augmented textbooks;
- educational publishing;
- institution-managed content;
- student progress functionality; and
- classroom analytics.
Before introducing features that materially change how child or student information is collected or used, AR Pages will evaluate the privacy requirements for those features.
We may update this Notice as our educational services develop.
A feature described as planned or possible in this Notice should not be interpreted as a representation that the feature is currently available.
---
# 19\. How This Notice Relates to Other AR Pages Policies
This Children & Student Privacy Notice supplements the:
**AR Pages Privacy Policy**
Additional documents may be introduced as educational services develop, including:
- Education Terms;
- School or Organization Data Agreements;
- data-processing terms;
- parental notices or consent forms; and
- institution-specific privacy documentation.
Where an institution has a separate written agreement with AR Pages, that agreement may contain additional requirements concerning student information.

## Our Commitment
AR Pages is being built around a simple principle:
> **Augmented learning should not require turning children into advertising data.**
We believe augmented reality can make printed educational materials more interactive, accessible, and engaging while still respecting the privacy of the children and students using them.
